Winchester City Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update
It’s time for the summary of what we have been up to over our last two weekend shifts!
- PC Andrews and PCSO Window have been busy on the South Beat hosting a Beat Surgery at Badger Farm Sainsburys and also attended the Winchester Repair Café at Badger Farm Community Centre. You can read more about this in our previous Facebook post.
- We conducted an operation on the High Street targeting shoplifting and general anti-social behaviour as part of #HIOWCSAFERSUMMER. During the operation, a female was sighted in breach of her Criminal Behaviour Order which is currently being dealt with. Our officers also attended a number of local shops and spoke with members of staff for reassurance and an opportunity for them to voice any concerns or issues that they had. We will continue to conduct these kind of operations to ensure Winchester remains a safe place for all shop workers and visitors.
- PC Wheeler had arrested a female who was wanted for a fail to appear at court. This female has since attended court for assault and shoplifting offences.
- PC Andrews had arrested a male who was wanted for outstanding shoplifting offences. This male has since been remanded pending a court appearance.
- A number of our officers conducted Night Time Economy patrols in and around the local venues over the lates weekend shifts. We are happy to report that no Night Time Economy incidents took place whilst we were on duty.
- We have also assisted our response colleagues with a number of incidents such as a drink drive and a missing person report.
